Where have I been???? HERE! I have a lot of new stuff to post but haven't had the time (I'm just lazy) to post it, but soon! Til' then enjoy my random findings and shenanigans on my other blog.

New leaf!

So I'm finally off Oz and it's expected to ship this Friday (hopefully)! I'm on a new project which hasn't been named yet but so far it's been pretty good. It's cool that this time around I'm leading the direction of the art (art lead ^__^) this time around, but with great power comes great responsibility!

I've been working pretty hard but it's been worthwhile. I don't have anything to really post right now, maybe later but soon!

Chinese devil, well vampire to be percise.

I've come back to the caricatures, finally! This is the initial sketch of my friend Nick Leung as a Chinese vampire. Right now I'm pretty satisfied with the lines so expect color soon! I'll probably paint him blue-ish like the vampires you see in old Chinese movies. If you're not familiar with them, Google it!


Sooo the painted one looks nothing like the drawing, haha. But that's okay because the painted looks more like him anyway. I rushed it a bit, but that's alright, I'm sure I'll plan the next one better!

Continuation of the caricatures! The top photo is what I went off of to get his likeness and then I just added some crazy color. I'm trying to push the shapes more, which I'm sure I'll achieve over time, but for the most part they're pretty fun to do. A nice way to relax and make fun of your friends :).

So I've been looking at a lot of caricature artists as of late and was inspired to do a portrait of myself. Although it's far from what is probably considered a real caricature, haha. Either way I'm semi happy with it. I learned a lot and it was fun so that's all that really matters.

I'm finally doing something unrelated to work! Wahoo!!! Anyway, I'm not really sure what to call this....The Cottage? Forest Cottage? I don't know, The Cottage sounds too much like an M. Night Shyamalan movie. In any case this is what I have so far. Hopefully I'll be done soon!

Airlock. Time to breathe motha' fucka'!

My friend Gerrin is making a pretty cool sci-fi short film called Airlock and he asked me to design a logo for him. The logo is for a genetic company within the short called Covax. I'm not sure if they'll end up using it but they seem to like it. This probably won't be the final colors but it give you an idea of what it will be.

New monkey, well monkey being redone. I've been getting a lot of good use from the splatter brush with fur and what not so looks like I'll be using it more!

update, so i got done, one is angry(im sure you can tell) and the other is when you gain THE POWER OF THE FLYING MONKEYS!!! Also I posted a detail shot.

This isn't too different from the original apart from Vile's base image getting an overhaul and not being so static when he's covered in his green energy.
