New Direction

Big ol' Concept DUMP!

So we're working on a new game and I'm sure you can guess what it's about from these pictures. This is all the concepts I've done so far for it. Usually I'd post these as I go along but I guess it's a nice change of pace to just unload all of them in one big post, which I'm sure I'll do again once the rest of characters are drawn and then painted. Nothing here is completely final so stuff might change but not too much.

There's some old art from the previous game in a couple images, which sucks in hindsight, but that's how it always goes. I actually did paint two characters to completion but then just switched over to concepting it all, which I should have done from the beginning -_-. The Tin man went through a lot of changes, and he's not fully painted yet but it's good enough for right now to get the point across (his heart door is off, and I have yet to change it. I'm lazy!).

There's one background in the images which was done by the lovely old man Matt Hayhurst. Anyway, I hope you like them!

I always seem to change the faces of my characters when I paint them in, but then again it's a process and nothing is ever definite. But there are exceptions like the cook. She didn't change much from her initial design. I'm nearing the end of this character, a little more things here and there and rendering out the baby and his mad face.

this time around i decided to just draw in photoshop. really rough black lines. all the information is there and also in my head so i dont really need to clean it up(unless i wanted a sexy line drawing, but who's really gonna care besides me!). he isn't really the traditional white rabbit but it works. i'll probably still tweak things here and there though.

Bleh, painting is hard like a rock. First time I've digitally painted since school I think. Concept stuff for a game, trying to get the style down, hopefully it works out.
