Animating.
One of the things that I really disagree with was said at my school (AiS) during class when we were showing our finals. A student had said that in the three week period that we got to make our shorts, that we shouldn't expect to do Pixar like animations. I agree with this to the degree that, yes there's no way that in three months would we ever achieve such a high standard, but why even animate then.
I know that to make a story solid, you have to put in these assets that are crappy looking into a time line to figure plot holes. That's good and all, but after that, you need to set a standard. Don't half ass anything. And when I animate, I don't. I'm going to strive for the best, and I don't care how much time it takes. There are times that I'll get an animation down with in a couple minutes or some animation that will take me a couple hours to get.
I'll do whatever it takes to make it look good. If I have to redraw it a million times, I will. I don't care. How else are you gonna learn anything? That person might think they're an animator, but I haven't seen anything they've produced to be remotely anything towards that.
Anyway, that's all I have to say about that. Update for School Daze time! Hope to have Act 1 done within the next couple weeks. Which means I probably won't be playing any games at all until I graduate. *Sigh* Well at least MGS4 comes out after I graduate, so s'aaallllllllll good.
Right now I'm going over the animatic and filling in spots on paper so that I remember what to do later. Also to get new ideas and what not. I'm about one-forth through Act 2. Changing, rearranging, booyah! Peter Lim, my friend is gonna help me out with things which will make things move a long better. I might recruit more people to help, but probably won't be until later after I finalize a bunch of things.
Like the character designs. My team mate last quarter did a great job, but they're still off from the style of the short. So going back and redoing those type of things I have to asses. Alright, I'm off to do more work!

IGN, stop spreading yourself so thin.
I know that these top 25, 10, whatever number you want to plug is solely based on the writer's opinion, but how the hell are they going to play The Incredibles below Finding Nemo? And Toy Story as being number one? Don't get me wrong, I love all of Pixar's movie (with the exception of Cars, not the greatest) but seriously, are these people not paying attention to the stories?! Most if not all movies made outside of Pixar, to me, are going to be crappy. Why? Their stories are shit. Let's name a couple! Shrek 2, Shrek 3, Happily Never After, Doogle, Surf's Up, Beowulf, and the list can go on and on. At least they have Pixar on the top.
I'm not really sure where I'm going with this. Oh yeah, where the fuck is Porco Rosso on that list?! Also Akira?! I don't know. To me, you can't really make a list without getting down to the basic core of the movie. I mean, if you did it from a techincal standpoint, the 2d films would win, hands down. No amount of rendering, lighting, what have you, will beat the art of pencil and paper. But if you were talking about story, than that list would be totally different. For me, at least, to date, The Incredibles is my top movie. The story, the design, everything was just top notch. It was flawless.
Alright, I'm done. Time to get done with my last final.

Animation!
So here's what I've been working all qtr on in my production team class. It's not much, but there are things that are kinda cool. My team did a good job at slapping this together. We pretty much had to do a lot of it last minute. Why? 5 classes and no time! Anyway, it's pretty rough, like animatic rough. Also the sound is off because when we plopped in some audio for the beginning it screwed it all up and we were rushing to get it rendered in class.
There's a lot of timing issues, story elements missing, animation, and design but of course that'll be addressed soon enough when I have time to wrap my head around this again. The overall time goes over three minutes but when I'm done editing I'm sure it'll go over that limit. There are a lot of parts that need to be slowed down to take in the story. Like the first third. Alright, I'm rambling and need to stop. Enjoy!

Outlaw heart!
Nudity! Cartoon nudity, that is. This was my final that I did in 14 hrs which should have been a qtr long process. Anyway, I'm happy with the characters and not the layout.

Flash CS4
I'm freaking out about Flash CS4. They're implementing a lot of animator friendly features. Motion tweens are a lot simpler, you can assign the same tween motion to any object, bone structures(yeah biatch!) and much much more. Head over to peter Elst's blog and watch the awesomeness!
